To that end, JM is improving our manufacturing process in Innisfail, AB Canada to improve the thermal properties and coverage of our fiberglass blowing wool products.
These improvements will help us maximize the amount of JM blowing wool we can sell in the Canadian market and will help ease some of the demand issues that the industry is currently facing.
Features- Improved fiberization technology will enable Johns Manville to see improved thermal performance of our Canadian blowing wool products; Climate Pro® and Attic Protector®
- These improvements result in a 4.5% increase in coverage per pound of material in attic applications
- Bag weight will remain the same; 31.5 lb for Climate Pro and 26.9 lb for Attic Protector
- Increased square footage per bag will allow for greater efficiency on the job and in warehouses – more square footage per bag means fewer bags per job
- Frees up additional capacity at our Innisfail plant, as every pound of material will now cover more area
- Cavity wall and sidewall coverage improvements of 15-20% with improved R-Value per inch
- New Climate Pro B7010 will begin hitting the market in April, while the new Attic Protector B7009 will be available in the months to follow as we work through existing inventory
