PowerShift (Hydraulic) 10-Bolt Power Take-Off (PTO) - 870-XL Series

Extended shaft PTOs fit neatly between the transmission and frame rail of the truck and locates the pump rear of the transmission where it’s common for space to be available.

The 870-XL increases the overall distance from the PTO aperture to the pump flange by 7 inches over our first extended shaft offering, the 890 Series PTO.

This extra distance allows for improved fitment on transmissions optioned with either a cooler or retarder.

The 870-XL retains the same robust qualities; a continuous rating of up to 670 lb-ft of its 870 Series sibling including high capacity bearings and superior gear designs.

The 870-XL offers 8 different speed options which allows fine tuning of the auxiliary hydraulic system.

Like our 870 Series, the XL can also be configured with our Patented Quiet GearTM Technology which mitigates gear rattle between the transmission and PTO.

The 870-XL is launched with five common rotatable pump flanges, both SAE and DIN.

These output options all utilize Chelsea Wet Spline Technology which extends PTO and pump shaft life in demanding conditions.

To assist with installation and to ensure proper PTO+Pump support, Parker Chelsea has designed a series of support brackets specific to Allison 3000/4000 Series transmissions.

These brackets take into account the arrangement and location of the PTO and include required hardware.

The support brackets are available for order separate from the PTO.

Our popular Electronic Overspeed Control - EOC is available to protect driven equipment from damage if an operator increases engine RPM beyond a PTO’s limit; i.e. leaving a jobsite on the highway with the PTO still engaged.

Versatility of the 870-XL Series is a great solution for complex aerial, fire, refuse or any installation where pump space and high torque is required.
