Experion Mobile Access

The Honeywell Experion® Mobile Access provides secure remote access to the process control network through mobile computing devices via the OneWireless™ Network.

It enables plant personnel to view and respond to live information from an Experion system even when they are away from a station, for example, while they are on operator rounds or inspecting the plant.

Using the web browser available on the mobile computing device, field operators can gain access to common parameters such as process value, set points, mode and output values, alarms and historical data for the process points associated to their area of responsibility. The web-based user interface has been optimized for small handheld devices such as tablet PCs.

The data routing between the mobile devices and the Experion Mobile Access server is handled securely by Honeywell’s OneWireless Network. Mobile users can use this tool to reduce their dependence on control room personnel for guidance and direction while carrying out field tasks.

The Experion Mobile Access Server is located on the wireless DMZ. The server is composed of an eServer Base and an eServer Mobile Access Add-on Package. The server uses distributed system architecture (DSA) to get data from Experion servers.  Experion Mobile Access is a zero-client application i.e., no software is installed on the mobile devices.

Users can have access to process information via the Internet Explorer web browser available on mobile devices.
