Firestop Fire Protective Brick
Brand: NelsonThe Nelson Firestop Fire Protective Brick is a soft, pliable, intumescent material, which is ideal for applications where the Firestop application may be require re-penetration.
In the event of a fire, the brick material expands, within the opening, forming a solid char which prevents penetration of the fire.
The fire brick is an economical, durable, labor saving firestop material, for cable, cable tray and other penetrations, or for temporary firestop closures.
Features- Easily installed, non-shrinking and re-penetrable.
- Non-toxic, it has no hazardous ingredients, and is asbestos free.
- Should be installed into a clean opening, free of grease, dirt or loose particles.
- For general application guidelines, tightly pack the bricks into, and around, the penetrating item(s), within the annular space, filling all voids. Install the brick, cent.
- Installation should be in accordance with the appropriate Nelson™ application system drawing, or applicable system, in the UL Fire Resistance Directory.
- Up to 2 hour rating.
- Supplied in a 50.8 mm x 127.0 mm x 203.2 mm (2" x 5" x 8") charcoal gray brick, 670 grams (1.48 lb). Packaged 6 per carton.
