Features

The BL Series is a lighting solution for marine environments and harsh and hazardous locations. It is a lightweight alternative to traditional vapour-tight lights, making it easier to handle and install. One of its key features is its field-serviceable design, allowing easy maintenance of the light engines, power supply, and housing elements.

The housing, constructed from copper-free aluminum, provides durability. It is fitted with either a polycarbonate or glass lens for optimal performance. The design also accommodates through-wiring, enabling multiple units to be connected on a single circuit, simplifying installation. For ease of setup, a built-in junction area facilitates straightforward termination.

Additionally, the product offers seven mounting options, providing flexibility in deployment, and it has been approved for use across various applications, including general, marine, and hazardous locations.

The BL is also certified for hazardous location use under:

BL - Encapsulated Variant

LED lights can face submersion for an extended period in specific applications. This challenge is also present in some industrial, infrastructure and maritime locations. Nemalux offers a version of the BL that is suitable for IP68 applications. An optically transparent encapsulant creates a permanent seal. Maintaining protection against water ingress to a depth of up to 25'. The BL-EN model operates at full output in dry and submerged conditions.

BL - Zone 21

The BL Series LED fixtures have been certified with a Zone 21* classification. Zone 21 is a place in which an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur during normal operations. The Nemalux luminaires can provide safe and effective lighting in industrial and hazardous locations.
