Dual Wall Transfer Tube
Brand: Parker HannifinParker Aerospace's dual-wall transfer tube provides self-aligning capability in aerospace fuel system applications to compensate for linear and angular misalignment.
The dual-wall transfer tube is designed for use in aircraft fuel system applications to connect two or more fuel tanks or subsystems and convey the system fluid from one tank subsystem to another, providing radial and axial movements or offsets between the connecting ends of the fuel tanks.
In today's commercial and military aircraft auxiliary fuel tank systems, the fuel tank storage volume or the number of the fuel tanks are designed according to the distance to the destination or extending flight hours.
The purpose of the dual-wall transfer tube is to connect aircraft auxiliary fuel tanks and transfer fuel from one tank to another during flight.
Features- Lightweight design
- Very low pressure drop with straight through flow
- Redundant sealing for primary flow path
- Dual-wall design accommodates leakage monitoring
- Axial displacement through telescoping design
- Radial alignment at each flange connection point to absorb manufacturing tolerances or limited angular movement due to system operating environments
- Interface connections (flange mountings) can be modified to suit specific applications
- Meets typical fuel system electrical bonding requirements
