A sheave, pronounced “shiv”, is a device used to route the wireline from the truck or offshore unit to the wellbore.
They are identified by the measurement of the outer diameter of the wheel and by what size wireline the groove in the wheel is designed for.
Pull tested to 22,000 lbs, each unit is tested and certified before leaving our facility.
Features- Geo-Log Sheaves have a cable capture feature which virtually eliminates cable jumping off the sheave. This feature greatly facilitates rigging.
- As an option we offer a three piece wheel that has a replaceable steel rim or center
- The Swivel Bolt joins the Clevis and Hanger Block and the design passed a 70,000 lb yield strength test.
- Extremely corrosion resistant materials and high quality serviceable bearings contribute to many years of dependable service
