V200 Electropneumatic Positioner
Brand: Valve Accessories & ControlsThe V200P pneumatic positioner uniquely blends a simple durable design of a force balanced spool valve product with a high degree of quality components and the flexibility to convert this base NEMA 4X unit to various electropneumatic alternatives.
The unit can operate on a simple pneumatic 3-15 PSI single or a 24-psi range such as 6-30 or 3-27 psi.
The rugged die-cast aluminum housing is coated inside and outside with a polyester coating which allows for the NEMA 4X/IP 66 approvals, and a wide range of chemical resistant applications.
Mounting is simple with the F05 pattern standard on the backside, and then the flexible drive shaft (“snap in” spindles) option that allows quick mounting to a wide range of actuators in a variety of applications.
The cast gauge block accepts 4 1/8” gauges for pressure measurement, and also has the ¼” tapped input gauges for supply air, actuator porting, and single input. Various cam options allow for standard or special rotary applications or linear mounting.
The unique user-friendly calibration spring allows for zero and span calibration in one spring and can be performed in minutes without removing the front cover.
Various pilot valves can be utilized to optimize performance or minimize air consumption. The standard arrow indicator is very visible and can accommodate direct and reverse acting with one unit.
Raised beacons are available in yellow and black or red and green-and are factory or field convertible.
In addition, if needed, electronic feedback such as 4-20 mA feedback and two mechanical or reed switches can be installed inside of the pneumatic housing.
Durability, flexibility, and quality performance are just a few of the reasons the V200P is an excellent choice of pneumatic positioner control.
V200-NIC
This VAC unit is available in a V200P-NIC for pneumatic applications or a V200E-NIC for electropneumatic applications. This high phosphor nickel plating is considered one of the most corrosion resistant nickel coatings available.
Nickel coating has the unique feature of allowing liquids to drain easily. The food and beverage industry realize this benefit where frequent washdowns are required for hygienic reasons.
The combinations of the VAC nickel coated unit, and many of the stainless actuators make a very good “corrosion resistant package”, stretching the V200 Nickel’s range of applications.
All of the options like special cams, dome indicators, position feedback, and more are available within this products offers. And since the V200 feedback is internal, 4-20 mA feedback and or switches can be added very easily.
Other accessories including the flexible VAC Mounting Kit program are available for this product as well.
V200-TUF (TUFRAM®)
Where added corrosion resistance is needed, the V200P or E Tufram® coated unit provides this needed protection. Engineers worldwide have recognized the benefits of Tufram® in all types of manufacturing and process industries.
The unique qualities of Tufram® add minimal dimensional change to the positioner and coat the product extremely well in all corners of the product inside and outside.
Tufram® coatings exhibit much greater corrosion resistance than conventional hard anodizing. Some types show extremely high resistance to most common chemicals and salt spray.
Tests show no effect after 168 hours immersion in Aqua Regia at 248°F (120°C). A Tufram® coated surface showed almost no corrosive activity after prolonged, continuous exposure to the atmosphere and salt water.
Standard VAC accessories like feedback, beacons, special cams, and the flexible VAC mounting kit program are available for this unique positioner product as well.
V200-GA
When natural gas is being used as the operating medium for a valve/actuator application, this electro-pneumatic positioner is FM, CSA, and CE approved for use on natural gas.
This compact, rugged package delivers reliable performance in all types of environments. While accepting a 4/20 mA input signal, the transducers deliver a 3-15 psi output to the positioner and throttle supply pressure (up to 100 psi) accurately to the actuator.
The unique mounting of the transducer to the positioner is efficient and compact. The positioner itself is a NEMA 4X enclosure and has a tapped ¼” exhaust port that allows for venting or capturing of the operating medium.
The EX Natural Gas Ip also has a tapped exhaust port for venting as well. The large position indicator (pointer arrow) provides a clear indication of the valve position and can be fitted with a dome style indicator if needed.
The modular positioner and converter can be ordered as an assembled unit or retrofitted/assembled in the field.
V200E 0/10 VDC
The combination of the base model V200 and this compact 0/10 V transducer make a simple package for applications where a 0-10 VDC signal is desired.
Often found in the HVAC market, but certainly adaptable to the industrial process market, the modular design of the product allows for simple conversion at the time of order or in the field.
The IP module is extremely resistant to vibration, is not orientation sensitive, and has very low air consumption. Once mounted on an actuator, zero and span adjustments are made in the pneumatic positioner, which is simple and quick.
The package is NEMA 4X rated, die-cast aluminum housing, and extremely rugged in construction.
V200E-IS
The V200E-IS unit is used where Intrinsically safe (IS) applications are required or accepted for certain hazardous locations. The IS module fits neatly inside of the base V200 housing and secured very simply with two screws.
Intrinsically safe circuits utilize a safety barrier, (commonly a Zener barrier located in a non-hazardous location, in conjunction with the IS positioner. The V200 has approvals for ATEX, CSA, and FM. The appropriate IS certificates are provided with this product.
Position feedback for this product is achieved through a special third-party mounting kit that allows a wide variety of well known market-accepted feedback products. This also keeps the overall package very simple and compact.
Features- All In One Housing
- This compact NEMA 4X valve positioner allows for an internal I/P, switches, 4/20 mA transmitter, all in one compact, rugged die-cast aluminum housing. The flexibility to add, remove, replace, and calibrate this unit is very user-friendly.
- Calibration
- The ability to calibrate a positioner is important. Time can be money, and with the V200 positioner, calibration is made simple, easy, and NOT time-consuming. Both Zero and Span can be adjusted without removing the cover, and the single spring has very little interaction.
- Complete Offering
- Being able to get all of the needed options from a single product can be a real benefit. For basic pneumatic to various Ip options (standard, IS, EX, FF, Gas approved, 0-10V) and adding valve position feedback into the one compact housing is a benefit. The flexibility of going from one type to the other in minutes saves time and money. Quality construction of each product equals accurate control and long service life.
