The PMSTR-4000 Plant Master provides central control of a steam or hot water system for up to eight NXF4000 or PPC4000 control units.

The PMSTR-4000 Plant Master provides central control of a steam or hot water system for up to eight NXF4000 or PPC4000 control units. The connection to each control uses standard Modbus wiring.

The PMSTR-4000 offers increased savings during operation by considering how many units to operate as a system , rather than allowing each unit to calculate an independent demand. Automatic lead rotation promotes even operating hours over time.

The PMSTR-4000 can be used in conjunction with any compatible NXF4000 or PPC4000 user interface. Local functionality such as thermal shock and hot standby can still be used.

  • Controls up to eight NXF4000 and/or PPC4000 controls in any combination
  • Standard Modbus wiring is used to connect all controls in series using a dedicated sequencing bus
  • User scalable 4-20mA centralized temperature or pressure sensor input
  • Additional scalable 4-20mA input for an outdoor temperature sensor allows for outdoor temperature reset setpoint and warm weather system shutdown to be used
  • Real-time clock allows entry of an occupancy schedule to change setpoints or enable/disable the system
  • 4-20mA analog output reflects current system load
  • Pump outputs can be used with optional feedback for proving operation
  • Time-stamped trend display comparing the actual temperature/pressure against the setpoint
  • UL508A Enclosed Industrial Control Panel
  • IP66/NEMA4X rated
  • Connected controls will timeout and revert to local operation upon a loss of communication
  • Modbus TCP/IP and Modbus RTU (RS232 or RS485) interfaces allows read/write access
  • BACnet /IP, BACnet MS/TP and Ethernet/IP are available with the MB485ETH-CG communication gateway
