Area of Application: Sugar

The ORF-B models are particularly suitable for measuring the Brix value.

These mean that you can determine the sugar content in foods, primarily in fruit, vegetables, juice and drinks which contain sugar.

This refractometer also is ideal for the monitoring of processes in industry (coolant monitoring, oils and fats). You can also choose to display the refraction index.

The ORF-S models are particularly suitable for the measurement and concentration control of the mass fraction of natrium chloride in water as well as of the content of NaCl (salt) in water.

This is often used in the preparation and the cooking of sauces, bases for pastries, the production of brines (e.g. for white cheese) and the preparation of seafood and marinades for meat.

You can also choose to display the refraction index.

Area of Application: Wine

The ORF-W models are particularly suitable for measuring the sugar content in fruit.

This is used to determine what alcohol content is to be expected from the fruit You can also determine the degree of ripeness of fruit (fruit sugar), e.g. grapes etc.

Area of Application: Urine

The ORF-P models are particularly suitable for measuring specific urine weight (density), the serum content (serum protein in urine) and the refraction index.
