The Nitro Tuff Abrasive Perforating Tool has special port design and positioning for directing an abrasive fluid through tubing or casing into the formation. Running this tool with a special mixture of abrasive fluids accomplishes a complete perforation of the well. Due to the design of the perforating tool, multiple perforations are possible on a single trip in the hole. Case histories have shown over 200 perforations on a single trip. TTS is able to customize the abrasive perforating tool to provide the desired perforations per foot.

Abrasive Perforating is used primarily to prepare the well for stimulation and production. Other uses include, but are not limited to, equalizing annulus pressures on plug and abandon operations and acid stimulation to penetrate skin damage on the existing formation.

Not only is this system a viable alternative to TCP or conventional wireline perforating, but it can also perforate wells where other systems are not an option. This abrasive perforating system has proven successful in perforating drill collars, drill pipe, and multiple casing strings in a single trip.
