Hollow P Profile Extruded Seals

Hollow P profile seals offer low closure force static sealing and provide designers a vast array of seal options with almost an infinite amount of dimensional combinations. 

Additionally, they offer a compressive force of a lower durometer material and physical property of a higher durometer material. 

Therefore, seals with hollow p-shaped cross sections can reduce bolt loading and the stress exertion on the mating flanges. 

Compressive force can be easily adjusted by changing the wall thickness of the profile without lowering the material hardness. 

Hollow P-rings are an economical alternative to molded products and can be extruded and made into extremely large O-rings that are ordinarily too expensive when molded. 

Dimensions can also be easily customized at no tooling cost, giving engineers more design flexibility.
