The BIW Connector Systems High Temperature Penetrator System has been designed for operation with conductor temperatures up to 450°F (230°C).
Features
  • The internal components of the High Temperature Penetrator have been redesigned to accommodate the effects of this much more severe operating environment.
  • The exterior surface of the connector has been modified for improved heat transfer and cooling.
  • The exterior seals to the hanger and top flange have been fitted with high temperature O-rings and back-up rings. The connection system includes a new Metal-Lok™ keying system, for positive protection against inadvertent rotation of the surface connector.
  • A new sealing system specifically designed for high temperatures provides the seals between system components.
  • This Penetrator System has been approved by CSA for use in Class I, Division 1 Hazardous Locations.
