Capsules

Capsules consist of a hard, smooth casing that is filled with the powder or liquid oil of the supplement ingredient/s it contains.

The key benefits of capsules is they allow for bitter or unpleasant tasting ingredients to not be tasted when being ingested.

Our facility contains multiple machines capable of producing hundreds of thousands of Capsules per day. Our flagship BOSCH encapsulation machine is able to manufacture millions of capsules a week.

Standard capsules are made in two parts by dipping metal pins in a gelling agent solution.

Before use, the two halves are separated, the capsule is filled with powder or more normally pellets made by the process of extrusion and spheronization: either by placing a compressed slug of powder into one half of the capsule or by filling one half of the capsule with loose powder, and the other half of the capsule is pressed on.

With the compressed slug method, weight varies less between capsules.

However, the machinery used to manufacture them are more complex.

The powder or spheroids inside the capsule contains the active ingredients and any excipients, such as binders, disintegrants, fillers, glidant, and preservatives as needed by the formula used for that particular product.
